We're the Youngblood family and we started Endureth Farms in 2022 as a response to much praying and fasting, seeking what the Lord would have for our lives.

We believe that God's will for His creation is to be healthy but we can only do that by adhering to the best practices and examples that He has given us both in nature and in the Bible. On the one hand that has to do with our choices of what we eat, and on the other hand it's about how food is grown. We had already started down the journey of healthy, organic eating so the next step was to tackle how the food is grown. No big deal, right!? Ha!

Endureth /ĕn-doo͝r-eth/ ... to remain, to persevere, to abide, to continue, to have fortitude

Purely by God's grace and abundant mercy ... how else do we do anything? 😊... we moved from Southern California all the way to the edge of the east coast to the forgotten land of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We've come to realize this is truly one of the great places in the USA. God bless America!

And we started with goats ... do an internet search for hardest animal to start a farm with ... because the Lord put them directly in our path. A learning curve ensued given that none of us had any prior farm or farm animal experience, BUT, we endured and now have a thriving herd of goats that the Lord is blessing each year.  As we now say, kidding season is the best time of the year!

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalm 136:1

Next came laying hens. We started with 6 and are now well into the many hundreds. Sticking to the principles of regenerative farming and animal rotation, we have a very healthy and robust flock on pasture year round (even in the winter). It certainly hasn't been without challenges (i.e. neighborhood dogs, hawks), but we agree with our customers that the eggs produced are simply the best we've ever had.

Shortly after laying hens, we geared up for the core of our production, chicken ... aka meat birds. With a loose understanding of how to raise fast growing meat birds organically on pasture, we jumped right in and haven’t turned back. Again, by no other means than God’s grace, through trial and error and His wisdom showing us that minor tweaks across thousands of birds have major impacts, we believe the Lord has truly blessed the end product. Our chicken will be juicier, tastier, and healthier than anything else you’ve ever had.

As we continue to pray without ceasing and seek God’s will, we want to give thanks to all of our customers who have supported us thus far and encouraged us often, many times in more ways than they realize. Also, an immense amount of thanks is due to Joel Salatin at Polyface Farms for pioneering the many methods, tools and structures that we have built as part of our operation.

Farming is truly a God given vocation and we are grateful to be a part of it while never losing focus on our Savior Jesus Christ.
